Coffee and Conversation Hearts!

Sprinkling of Conversation Hearts adds fun and whimsy!

Bought my first Valentine for a very special someone in my life, yes perhaps it’s early but I saw it out of the corner of my eye and knew just who would be receiving it.  I love Valentine’s Day, February 14th.   Hearts, cards, love in the air, pinks, reds, whites, flowers, candy, it’s all sweet!  Thinking about all of this reminds me about my Valentine Coffee and Conversation social I had in my home last year.

It was my first Valentine Day in my new home, in the mountains of Park City, Utah.  My friend Angela had shared a link to the Busy Bee Lifestyle, in this blog I found the idea for hosting a Coffee and Conversation party.   With this idea busy hatching itself in my head, I soon had a party forming and knew that by inviting my new neighbor ladies to share in this fun and tender morning would be the ticket to making deeper relationships with them.

I formed my guest list, and made, yes handmade and hand delivered my invites to each house.  So as to make them feel a bit more comfortable to coming to my home, I included the guest list which of course I never do otherwise.  To entice them even more I included the menu for the social gathering.  I’ll share that with you too!

It was a simple morning with the buzz of conversations and many delightful women, whom I have formed deeper relationships with, and I am grateful for the opportunity to host them in my home.   Over all it was a great way to introduce myself to my new neighborhood and I hope that each lady enjoyed them as much as I did.

White Stocks flowers are so scented, love them!

To create the invites, I used a pink card stock, cellophane bag, Conversation Heart candy, Conversation Heart ribbon, Conversation Heart stickers, plus sheets of vellum.   As you can see each invite had to be hand delivered, which made it personal and more meaningful.

My menu consist of ; Apple Strudel Muffins, Jeweled Scones, Cinnamon Chip Danish, Cream Cheese Banana-Nut Bread, Quiche Lorraine, Baked French Toast Casserole, a fruit platter.  Beverages of  Orange juice, Coffee, Tea and Mimosas were served.

Sounds like fun doesn’t it, perhaps I’ll share a Valentine with these ladies once more.  Life is all about relationships, they add such meaning to our lives when we share with others.  How about you, are you considering getting to know your neighbor ladies better with a Coffee and Conversation Social?

Enjoy!
