Linda’s Barbeque Brisket

Oh how I love this recipe that makes a grown man weep from the flavors and is so tender that you can cut it with a fork!   Ladies you will love it too, after some small amount of prep work, you can cook this in a crock pot, and clean up is a breeze!

Recipe is followed by key steps!

1 Beef Brisket, 4-5 lbs

3 cloves of garlic, cut into slivers

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon or kosher salt

1 1/2 teaspoon of Thyme

1 teaspoon freshly ground Pepper

1 teaspoon of Paprika

1 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper

Bulls Eye Original Barbeque Sauce

I mixed all the dry ingredients together in a small bowl.  Taking your Brisket and place on a generous piece of foil, cut slits in the beef on both sides.  Starting on one side of the beef, place a sliver of garlic in each slit.  Sprinkle half of the oil and dry seasoning and rub into meat.   Spread on half a cup of barbeque sauce and flip meat over.  Repeat the above step using up the rest of the garlic, oil and seasoning.  Spread  this side with barbeque sauce and cut yourself another generous piece of foil, placing it over the meat.  Now you are going to seal the brisket between both pieces of foil and crimp and fold up the foil to encase the brisket.  Place in the frig over night.  (Makes clean up a snap).   Now place the brisket still encased in the foil in a roasting pan cover the top of the pan with foil.  Place in an oven at 200 and bake for 8+ hours, no less.   This is excellent meat dish to put in the oven early morning and go about your day.  Enjoy!

Key steps are the foil and slow cooking it at a low temp.  Shorten these to steps and your brisket will be tough!
